Am I entitled to three hours off work to vote?

Yes, by law you are entitled to have three consecutive hours available to vote while polls are open on election day. That is within reason, as the time you take must respect your employer’s needs.

What should you bring when you go to vote?

Thumbnail image:

What should you bring when you go to vote?

If you are registered on the List of Electors then you should have received a Voter Information Card (VIC) in the mail. This card has all the information you need, such as the address for your polling location. If you are not registered on the List of Electors you can still visit a polling station and be registered on that day and vote.
