Elections Nova Scotia

ID Requirements

It is always a good idea to bring identification with your name and current address when you vote but it is not necessary.

When you vote, you will be asked to show ID to have your name added to the list of electors (if you aren't already on it). Even if you have your Voter Information Card in hand, it's always a good idea to bring your proper and current ID when you vote so there won't be any confusion or delay. If you do not have current ID with your correct name or address, you can still vote by taking an oath to attest to your eligibility.
