Twila Grosse, Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia (PC) has been confirmed as the winner for the Preston by-election

Elections Nova Scotia – Elections Nova Scotia reminds candidates, registered political parties, and third party advertisers from the Preston by-election held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, that financial reports are due in the weeks and months ahead. All reports must be sent the Chief Electoral Officer.
Candidate tax receipts are due 30 days after election day, September 7, 2023.

Elections Nova Scotia – The official addition for the Preston by-election will begin tomorrow, Thursday August 10 at 10:00 am, at the returning office.
The deadline for application to a judge for a recount is four days after the official addition, Monday, August 14, 2023.
Elections Nova Scotia is a non-partisan and independent agency responsible for conducting provincial elections.

Elections Nova Scotia – Most election day voting for the Preston by-election is now closed. One voting location, the St. Thomas More Church, 15 Caledonia Road, Dartmouth, had delayed opening and voting at this location will be extended by 30 minutes until 8:30 pm.
A live feed for results will be available on the ENS website when all polls are closed.
