Elections Nova Scotia – The unofficial results are now complete for the Preston By-election. The following indicates the number of votes received by each nominated candidate:
Anthony Edmonds, Green Party of Nova Scotia (Green Party) - 101
Twila Grosse, Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia (PC) – 1,950
Colter (C.C.) Simmonds, Nova Scotia New Democratic Party (NSNDP) – 1,145
Carlo Simmons, Nova Scotia Liberal Party (NSLP) – 1,021
Bobby Taylor, Nova Scotians United Party (NSU) - 95
The unofficial winner of the Preston by-election is Twila Grosse, Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia (PC).
Official addition is scheduled for Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10 am at the Preston returning office.
A candidate is officially declared elected when the writ of election has been completed and returned by the returning officer to the Chief Electoral Officer per section 159 of the Elections Act.
Elections Nova Scotia is a non-partisan and independent agency responsible for conducting provincial elections.
