Elections Nova Scotia – One election day voting location for the Preston by-election has reported a delayed opening. The St. Thomas More Church, 15 Caledonia Road, Dartmouth, was not able to open for voting by 8 am this morning. It is open now and voting at this location will be extended by 30 minutes today until 8:30 pm.

Today, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, is election day in the electoral district of Preston.

Eligible votes in Preston can vote at their assigned election day voting location or at the returning office, 293 Main Street, Dartmouth. Preston voters can find their election day voting location on their voter information card (VIC) or by entering their address in the ‘where do I vote’ tool on the Elections Nova Scotia website (electionsnovascotia.ca).

To be eligible to vote in the Preston by-election voters must be 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen, reside in Preston, and have lived in Nova Scotia since January 7, 2023.
