The Chief Electoral Officer, Richard Temporale has indicated he may need to end the vote count at midnight if it looks like it could go extremely late due to worker fatigue. If this occurs, counting and live feed results would resume at 10 am the next day (Wednesday, August 18th). Elections Nova Scotia will communicate any decisions regarding the counting as soon as possible.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, ENS is asking that media not visit local returning offices tonight. Returning offices are not able to accommodate media alongside their own staff, and scrutineers permitted by legislation on election night while maintaining the physical distancing to meet COVID-19 protocols. Also filming and photography is not permitted inside voting locations. We appreciate your patience.
