Elections Nova Scotia – The deadlines for candidate nominations for the 41st provincial general election is Wednesday, July 28 at 2 pm.
Before an election is called candidates can register with Elections Nova Scotia so they can begin to incur expenses. Elections Nova Scotia maintains a list of registered candidates on our website before an election is called.
When the writs of election are issued, Candidate must complete official nomination forms and submit them to their returning officer to have their name added to the ballot.
Now that the 41 provincial general election is underway, Elections Nova Scotia has replaced the list of registered candidates previously on the website with a list of candidates currently nominated in each electoral district. That list will be updated twice a day and candidate names will be added as nominations are accepted.
