Vote Anywhere During Early Voting
Vote Anywhere During Early Voting
Media Release: Thursday, July 22
Elections Nova Scotia – In Nova Scotia, eligible voters can vote anywhere during the early voting period. This means that before election day voters do not have to vote in their electoral district, they can vote early at the returning office or early voting location in any electoral district in the province.
Vote anywhere makes voting convenient during a summer election. Voters can vote if they are at their cottage or camp, or if they are on a road trip enjoying our beautiful province.
Returning offices in all the 55 electoral districts are open for early voting for the 41st provincial general election. Locations and contact information for all returning offices can be found at www.electionsnovascotia.ca.
The returning offices are open Monday to Saturday from 9 am – 6 pm. The offices are closed on Sundays. On Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13 the returning offices will be open from 9 am – 8 pm. On election day, Tuesday, 17, 2021, the returning offices will be open from 8 am to 8 pm.
COVID precautions are in place at all returning offices and voting locations to ensure voter safety. Voters are asked to wear a mask, sanitize their hands, maintain physical distance and bring their own pen.
Voters can also apply to vote by mail using a write-in ballet. The application for a write-in ballot is available on-line at electionsnovascotia.ca. Voters can call their returning office if they have questions or need assistance with the write-in ballot process.
