Elections Nova Scotia – Nova Scotians are encouraged to watch their mailboxes for a flyer from Elections Nova Scotia with information on how to vote safely in the 41st provincial general election. The household flyer is part of a public awareness campaign help voters understand their voting options.

There are many options to vote safely in the 41st Provincial General Election. Strict COVID-19 protocols will be in place at all voting locations and voters can choose to apply to vote from by mail using a write-in ballot. Voters can learn about their safe voting options online at electionsnovascotia.ca or call their local returning office.

Before election day, voters can vote safely in-person at any returning office or early voting location in the province. On election day, voters may vote at their assigned voting location or the returning office in their district.

Voters can also apply to vote by mail using a write-in ballet. The application for a write-in ballot is available on-line at electionsnovascotia.ca. Voters can call their returning office if they have questions or need assistance with the write-in ballot process.

Elections Nova Scotia is committed the safe delivery of a fair and inclusive election and worked with Nova Scotia public health to determine what infection control precautions are needed to ensure the safety and confidence of voters, election workers, candidates, and their campaign teams during the election.

Registered voters will also get a personalized voters information card (VIC) mailed to them later in the writ period. The VIC provides information on the closest voting locations. If eligible voters are not yet on the Nova Scotia list of electors they are encouraged to get registered soon or register when they come to vote.
