Nominations Closed for the Pictou West By-election

Elections Nova Scotia – Candidate nominations for the Pictou West by-election closed at 2pm today, May 1, 2024. The following 4 candidates will be on the ballot:
Clare Brett, Green Party of Nova Scotia (Green Party)
Melinda MacKenzie, Nova Scotia New Democratic Party (NSNDP)
Marco MacLeod, Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia (PC)
Mary Wooldridge-Elliott, Nova Scotia Liberal Party (Liberal)
The candidate names, their party affiliation, and the name of their official agent are also available on the Pictou West by-election page.
Candidates must complete an official nomination when the writ of election is issued, to have their name added to the ballot. Prior to an election call, individuals who intend to run as a candidate may register with Elections Nova Scotia to allow them to accept contributions and incur expenses.
