The Preston Returning Office is Open

Elections Nova Scotia – A by-election is underway in the electoral district of Preston. Election day will be Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The returning office for Preston is now open for early voting. Eligible voters in the district can cast their ballot early before election day at the returning office.
The returning office is in the United Pentecostal Church of Dartmouth, at 293 Main Street, Dartmouth Nova Scotia. The returning office is open every Monday to Saturday from 9 am – 6 pm. The office will be closed on Sundays. On Thursday, August 3 and Friday, August 4, the returning office will be open from 9 am – 8 pm. On election day, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, the returning office will be open from 8 am to 8 pm.
Voters in Preston can vote at the returning office anytime the office is open. Before the close of candidate nominations, at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, the write-in ballot format will be used for early voting at the returning office. After candidate nominations close, e-balloting will be used for early voting in the Preston by-election. The returning office can also arrange to have a write-in ballot team visit a voter at home if necessary.
