Polls are open for the Argyle-Barrington, Northside-Westmount, and Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg By-elections

Elections Nova Scotia – All election day polls in Argyle-Barrington, Northside-Westmount, and Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg opened at 8 am this morning, Tuesday, September 3, and will remain open until 8 pm this evening.
To be eligible to vote in these by-elections voters must be 18 years of age on September 3, a Canadian citizen, have lived in Nova Scotia since February 2, 2019, and reside in Argyle-Barrington, Northside-Westmount, or Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg.
Elections Nova Scotia reminds voters in Argyle-Barrington, Northside-Westmount, and Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg that on election day they must vote at their designated poll location or at the returning office in their district.
Most voters in Argyle-Barrington, Northside-Westmount, and Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg received a voter information card (VIC) in the mail. The VIC includes a voter’s assigned poll location information. Voters are asked to bring their VIC and ID for faster service.
Eligible voters in Argyle-Barrington, Northside-Westmount, and Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg can vote without a VIC if they have ID with their name and civic address or if they sign a declaration attesting to their eligibility.
