Here are the unofficial results in two plebiscites held today in Annapolis County districts 3 and 4 on the question, “Are you in favour of the sale of liquor in your municipality in accordance with the Liquor Control Act?”  
 
Annapolis County District 3 Electors voted 90 Yes and 9 No.   

Annapolis County District 4 Electors voted 134 Yes and 28 No.   

Official results will be posted on electionsnovascotia.ca May 10th, 2018.

On Tuesday May 8, 2018 a plebiscite will be conducted in the County of Annapolis in Districts 3 and 4 pursuant to a request received by the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation from the municipality, on the question:

“Are you in favour of the sale of liquor in your municipality in accordance with the Liquor Control Act?” Yes or No

 

 

 

Under the authority of the Liquor Control Act, the Chief Electoral Officer designates the plebiscite areas in the County of Annapolis in Districts 3 and 4.
 

A group of persons in favour of or opposed to the question may nominate one or more persons to act as agent for the group at each polling station in the plebiscite area. Interested persons may contact the Returning Officer.

 

Notice of Revision, Advance Poll, Proxy Voting and Plebiscite Vote Revision

If you are at least 19 years of age on the date of the plebiscite, but not currently on the List of Electors, you may be added to the list during Revision, at the Advance Polls or at the polls on May 8, 2018, the day of the Plebiscite Vote.

 

Revision
The revising officer will be sitting to hear applications for additions and changes to the list of electors: Thursday April 26, and Friday April 27, 2018, during the hours of 10am to noon, 2pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 8pm at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #33, 20 Jeffrey St., Bridgetown, NS.

 

Advance Poll
Friday May 4, and Saturday May 5, 2018, noon to 8pm. Vote at poll that matches your map area.
Electors in District 3: Royal Canadian Legion Branch #33, 20 Jeffrey St., Bridgetown, NS.
Electors in District 4: Round Hill Hall, 1689 Highway 201, Round Hill, NS, or;
                           Granville Ferry Community Hall, 5352 Granville Rd., Granville Ferry, NS.

Tuesday May 8, 2018, 8am to 7pm. Vote at poll that matches your map area.
Electors in District 3: Royal Canadian Legion Branch #33, 20 Jeffrey St., Bridgetown, NS.
Electors in District 4: Round Hill Hall, 1689 Highway 201, Round Hill, NS, or;
                           Granville Ferry Community Hall, 5352 Granville Rd., Granville Ferry, NS.

Proxy Voting

If you are at least 19 years of age and your name is on the List of Electors, you may inquire about voting by proxy by contacting the Returning Officer at 902-532-8365. Applications in writing will be accepted between Monday April 23, and Saturday May 5, 2018.
