Dartmouth East - Clarification

Elections Nova Scotia is aware that a candidate in Dartmouth East has stated an intention to withdraw from nomination as a candidate. The Elections Act does allow for withdrawal before close of nominations but not after nominations have closed. In keeping with current legislation, the candidate’s name will remain on the ballot.
