Three community poll locations are open for voting today. There are three locations, one in Shelburne, one in Sheet Harbour and one in St. Peter’s. Polls are open 9am to 6pm every day except Sunday from today through Saturday, May 27th.
Community polls are located to minimize travel time. Elections Nova Scotia aims to ensure convenient access to polls. Community polls are not legislated like advance polls, they offer more flexibility in duration and location. Under the Elections Act, the Chief Electoral Officer has the discretion conduct a community continuous poll.
Community Polls Open today through May 27th:
Shelburne: 107 Water St., Shelburne
Sheet Harbour: 202 Pool Rd., Sheet Harbour
St. Peter’s: 9917 Grenville St., St. Peter’s
During all early voting opportunities before election day, you may vote at any voting location in the province. Your ballot in every early voting location will include the nominated candidates for your electoral district. On election day, electors must vote at the designated poll in their electoral district.
