Nominations Closed for the Preston By-election

Elections Nova Scotia – Candidate nominations for the Preston by-election closed at 2pm today, July 19, 2023. The following 5 candidates will be on the ballot:
Anthony Edmonds, Green Party of Nova Scotia (Green Party)
Twila Grosse, Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia (PC)
Colter (C. C.) Simmonds, Nova Scotia New Democratic Party (NSNDP)
Carlo Simmons, Nova Scotia Liberal Party (NSLP)
Bobby Taylor, Nova Scotians United Party (NSU)
Candidates must complete an official nomination when the writ of election is issued, to have their name added to the ballot. Prior to an election call, individuals who intend to run as a candidate may register with Elections Nova Scotia to allow them to accept contributions and incur expenses.
