Elections Nova Scotia – Election day for the Pictou West by-election is Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Voters in Pictou West can vote before election day at either the returning office or advance poll.

Early voting is available Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm, at the Pictou West returning office at 49 Pine Tree Road. Early voting is also available from Saturday, May 11 to Saturday, May 18 at the advance poll at the Union Centre Community Hall, 1 Salter Road, Union Centre. There is no voting on Sundays.

This week on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17 there will be extended hours at both early voting locations until 8 pm.

On election day, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, voting will be open from 8 am to 8 pm and voters in Pictou West may vote at their assigned voting location or the returning office.

Eligible voters in the Pictou West by-election must be 18 years of age or older on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, a Canadian citizen, reside in the electoral district of Pictou West, and have lived in Nova Scotia since October 21, 2023 (six months before the writ of election was issued).

Voters in Pictou West that have questions about the by-election can call the returning office at 1-888-575-8901.
