Elections Nova Scotia – Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, is election day in the electoral district of Pictou West. All election day polls and the returning office will be open for voting from 8 am – 8 pm.

Eligible voters in the Pictou West by-election must be 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen, reside in Pictou West, and have lived in Nova Scotia since October 21, 2023.

Tomorrow, voters in Pictou West must vote at their assigned voting location or the returning office, 49 Pine Tree Road. Pictou West voters can find their assigned election day voting location on their Voter Information Card (VIC) or by using the ‘where do I vote?” tool on the Elections Nova Scotia website at electionsnovascotia.ca.

Voters in Pictou West can bring their VIC if they have one and ID, but these are not necessary. Voters without current ID can take an oath to attest to their eligibility and vote. Eligible voters in Pictou West can be added to the list of electors when they vote.

Voters in Pictou West are reminded that the deadline to apply in person or by agent for a write-in ballot is 3 pm on election day. All completed write-in ballots must be returned by 8 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 to be counted.
