Cumberland South By-election

The Assistant Chief Electoral Officer, Peter Gzowski, acting for Chief Electoral Officer, Richard Temporale, has received an order from the Governor in Council for a by-election to be held in the electoral district of Cumberland South. The ACEO has issued a writ of election; election day will be June 19, 2018.
To date, there are three registered candidates:
Larry Duchesne Nova Scotia New Democratic Party (NDP)
Scott Lockhart Nova Scotia Liberal Party (NSLP)
Tory Rushton Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia (PC)
The returning office continuous poll will be open for voting on Monday, May 21. An advance poll will be held in Parrsboro for 7 days, from Saturday June 9 to Saturday June 16, except Sunday and community polls will be held in Brookdale and Wentworth Centre Friday June 15 and Saturday June 16.
